Welcome to the February 16, 2008edition of the Sex Toy Review Podcast. My name is Jamie and today wewill be reviewing some of the Aneros prostate massagers.First off I want to apologize for the delay in releasing our Anerosprostate massager reviews, we have had a super busy couple of weeks dueto the Valentines day rush. The last podcast I mentioned that we wouldhave the aneros reviews out last week but I should have known better!Anyway on with the reviews.Aneros products are made in the USA and only us materials that are FDAapproved. You can also go to our www.adultsensations.ca -Sex Toys website and do a search for Aneros.Before I dive in please oh please use as much lube as you feel you needand do not force any anal toy into the anus. It may take time to easeit in but take your time! We recommend the Aneros Marksman as thelube of choice for this job. They are mess free and easy to apply. Wedo not recommend this because it is an Aneros product but because theyare a great way to get the lube into the anus without the mess. Justtake off the tab on the end of the shooter, insert into the anus andthen squeeze. Thats it your ready. As a beginner you may need a littleextra for the toy and or around the anus. There are two concerns I havewith the Aneros Marksman Lubricant. The first is to make sure you checkthe end after you tear off the tab, reason being I worry that there maybe some jagged plastic left over and could scratch or hurt the analcavity. This did not happen when I tested the product but I would thinkit could happen. But if you take a quick look I have no doubt thatthere will be no problems as the tab seems to come off clean. Thesecond thing I found is that there might not be enough lubricant in oneshooter for the beginner. But you could always use a second. As you getexperience with anal play the one would do just fine.Another quick note before we jump into the review. Make sure you washyour toys very well, using your favorite sex toy cleaner or withwarm soapy water. Also wash your hands before and after anal play anddo not put any toy or body part from ass to mouth or ass to vagina asthis can cause some problems with bacteria. I know some of the warningI have given so far may turn you off of anal sex but please don’t letit as if you do it right it can be great fun!Ok so lets get to the reviews of the Aneros products.First up is the Aneros Helix, it isaggressively shaped and angled, providing pressure and tension on theprostate. It requires less patience and practice to enjoy this productthen other products on the market. We have been told by customers thatthe Aneros Helix does help you orgasm faster while masturbating orhaving sex. They also tell us that it does increase your orgasms due tothe pressure on the prostate. Saying this though anal play isnot for everyone and some people do not like the feeling of an analplay. You can find out if you will enjoy this by playing around downthere with you finger and some lube. If you like that feeling there isa good chance you will like products like the Aneros Helix. There aretechniques out that that you can try that will allow you to orgasmwithout masturbation when using this toy. I personally have not heardfrom our customers that they have been able to do this but if you lookat some of the forums people say its possible. (www.adultsensations.ca)The Aneros Helix has a sharply angled stem and large bulbous head whichprovide a more “aggressive” prostate massage.The redesigned P-Tab provides a more focused external prostatestimulation when massaging the perineum. For though’s of you who do notknow what the perineum is, its the area between the anus and thescrotum.In terms of dimensions, the Helix is larger at the tip (1 1/16″ versus0.9″ on the MGX, which is not carried by us. It is also more angled toprovide a more vigorous massage. However, the middle is slightlysmaller (1/16″ smaller) on the Helix then the Aneros MGX.Main features of the Helix:Strong angled stem for greater pivoting abilityNext generation model up from the MGXDime perineum tabGreat for adventurous beginnersThe Aneros Helix is one of the best selling anal toys we carry on ourretail site and is the best selling Aneros product. Over all I givethis toy a 5 out of 5. I can’t really think of a reason not to give ithigh marks as it does what it says it will do.Now onto the Aneros Progasm The Progasm comes in three colours, white, red and black. TheAneros Progasm is the newest member of the Aneros product line. TheProgasm is the largest Aneros to date. It features a newly designedround perineum tab and also boasts a Kundalini “K-Tab.” The origin ofword Kundalini is Sanskrit and literally means snake. The “K-Tab” addssensations up and down your back that are complementary to thesensations from the prostate.Now this is the biggest Aneros toy and is not for the beginner. Thistakes some time to work in and you should have some experience withother anal toys before you jump into this. But if you have the experience and are ready to move up thiswould be a good choice. Its much larger then all the other Anerosproducts and provides much more prostate pressure. If you have beenenjoying anal sex for some time some of the other toys such as theHelix may not cut it anymore and you may need something larger.Some of the key points for this toy are:Largest Aneros prostate massage offerRound perineum tab designKundalini”K-Tab” provides additional sensations for advanced and experiencedusers.1.25” diameter at widest part of tip1.30” diameter at mid-ridge1.52” from center of stem to perineum pressure point4.75” overall heightAll the same rules apply for this product as the Helix. Be clean, takeit slow, use lots of anal lubricant and enjoy! I would give this toy a5 out of 5 as well again only because I does what it is supposed to doand is easy to clean. I don’t remember there ever being any complaintsabout any of the Aneros products.Up next the Aneros Eupho review.The Eupho is not currently being sold on our site but will be withinthe next couple of days as we are awaiting a shipment. But it should beup this weekend or at the latest Monday evening.The delicately shaped Eupho has a smaller head and thinner stem whichmeans that it will move more than the other Aneros products. Instead ofputting pressure on the entire prostate, the Eupho massages differentparts depending on the man’s anal sphincter contractions. Since we donot have this item in stock yet I have not had a chance to take a greatlook at it but I thought we would include it in the reviews anyway asit is an option that is available an should only be used by experiencedAneros users.A man experienced with other Aneros products and/or with a stronger PCsphincter muscle will be able to exact precise control over the Eupho,causing it to “dance” all around the prostate for a variety of uniquesensations.The Eupho offers an enticing, appealing shape that coaxes you slowly tonew sensations. The curves and ergonomic design allow for gradualbuild-up of physical sensation to lead you to the next level of orgasm.Due to its design, the Eupho is best reserved for experienced users whohave developed their technique.3/4” diameter at tip, circ. = 2.355”15/16” diameter at mid-ridge, circ. = 2.94”1 3/4” from main body to perineum pressure pointAs I stated we have not received this item yet and do not have anycustomer feedback to go on so I can’t really comment much on it or giveit a rating as of yet. But if its like all the other then I wouldassume it will hit the mark as stated.Ok now onto the final review, the Aneros MaximusThe Maximus is our 2nd best selling Aneros product. As mentioned ealierthe Helix is the leader.
The Maximus is part of Next-Generation line which includes the Helixand Eupho. True to its name, the Maximus provides great size for thoselooking for a fuller experience.The Maximus is similar in shape to the MGX and SGX, but expandedthroughout. It provides greater pressure throughout the rectum and is alittle more difficult to insert due to its size.Due to its size, the Maximus will move less than the other models formen starting out with prostate stimulation. Therefore we recommend theMaximus for men who are experienced with anal and prostate.1 1/16” diameter at tip, circ. = 3.34”1 1/8” diameter at mid-ridge, circ. = 3.53”1 3/4” from main body to perineum pressure pointOverall the Aneros products are top notch and do their jobs well! Butagain I must say be clean, use lube and take your time and you shouldenjoy the pleasures of anal play to the fullest extent. I have readsome articles online that stimulating the prostate can actually behealthy for your prostate. I am no doctor and cannot confirm this butthat’s what some doctors are saying.I thought I wouldn’t have much to say this week about these items butit turns out that I did.
